I cannot believe that Immy’s favourite read this week was published before I was born. Isn’t it amazing that a children’s book can stay so relevant, fun and engaging 38 years after its publication.
For those who don’t know Titch by Pat Hutchins, this simple story told with few words and no-frills illustrations, shares the hardship and woes of being the youngest child in the family. Titch is little. His brother, Pete, and sister, Mary, are bigger and it seems bigger is best. Or is it.

Titch was also a favourite in our household a few weeks ago when Miss M borrowed it from the library. I remember it well from my childhood. Have you seen the Titch series on dvd? I saw it in the Target sales the other day.
Thanks for the DVD tip, Amanda, I will keep an eye out for it.
