Adventures of an Amateur Seamstress

October 28, 2009

So this has been sitting taunting me for months now.

IT has been sitting dormant, waiting to be put to good use.

Feeling inspired by the beautiful fabrics and patterns at The Oz Material Girls, I ordered this…

Which came with everything I needed to make…
…this!

Even as an amateur seamstress, the Sew Your Own kit was easy to follow and I am quite chuffed with the result.

Win our giveaway and you could make your own softie too! Or choose from the fantastic range of fabric or patterns from The Oz Material Girls to the value of $50! Entries close midday, THIS Saturday! Don’t miss out.

Well done. The one thing I really wish I could do is sew! I content myself with collages and by-hand modification of my son's clothes. I really like your blog and wonder if I might be able to add you to my blogroll?

That's beautiful! I'm a very amateur seamstress and like to sew, though I'm not very good. But one thing I've learned is that each project teaches me something I can use for the next one. That looks like fun and like it would teach me a lot!

(I'm really excited about the giveaway! I keep checking on their site and thinking about what I'd do with $50 there!)

yes please count me in – got a new sewing machine for my bday (back in June) and this may give me the motivation to clear a space somewhere for it and get sewing
