Christie…you have hit the nail on the head. Advice from a senior citizen = don't get bogged down in life's trivia. It will still be there when you get back but you'll whizz through it 'cos you've had that delightful time doing something you normally wouldn't do. Life is too short not to notice the blueness of the sky, the smell of beautiful flowers and all the nice things in our lives, and especially sharing quality time with someone you love.

Thanks for the reminder! :) I'll escape next time when I'm feeling overwhelmed by housework and other things!

Lovely post!! Really enjoyed it. I just started with Head Start Body Start working on training on physical development & outdoor play issues. Exciting stuff. Hope to have more ECE info to share in the coming months. Cheers- Bethe @balmeras

Loving your post Christie…. What an excellent way of dealing with aaaaall the everyday stuff when it gets too much. Just leave it and go have some fun. Simple. You're right. It will be there when we get back and we'll be in a better mood to deal with it. Love it. Can't wait till I'm next overloaded now!
Also love your 'notebook' concept and page design. Very clever dear.
Just new to you but will follow often.

Is it a bad thing when I want to escape everyday? With my kiddies?
