Sunday-ing

Sundays are great for…

… learning to fish,

…making new friends,

… little bags of treats.

As well as…
lucky dip prizes,
sweet, ripe, red strawberries,
a sausage, sauce and onion in a bun,
goodies for sale,
and fun with other kids.

We had wonderful family time visiting a local school fair this morning. It was a veritable treasure trove in terms of making childhood memories to cherish. I certainly have happy memories of my own primary school fetes. What about you?

I love fetes, second hand books, toys and chocolate fudge can't go wrong. I spent the day at my parents and bloggishing.

Our school used to have a White Elephant sale each year. I have great memories of these days. My kids school has a fete every 2 years, the next one is March 2010 and I am co-ordinating the craft stall! Not quite as much as going along as a kid, but it has been an interesting experience.

    Glad you enjoyed it!

  4. We recently stopped at a school fete and my three year old daughter loved it. So much family fun can be had at a school fete.

I remember the coconut ice and sweets from my own school fete days. All those yummy homemade treats were ultra cheap to buy.

  5. school fetes are the best. i remember spending the whole day there running around with friends, choosing what to buy with the bit of pocket money we had saved up, eating lollies, having rides, enjoying 'school' in a completely different and fun way 🙂
