Our Play Space: Where Mitchy Plays

A peek inside a reader’s play space…

Mitchy’s play space is located in the main living area of our house, close to where we hang out as a family most! I try to keep it organised and simple as this makes it inviting and accessible to Mitch who is 17 months old. We change it around every few weeks, introducing new items and reintroducing props and toys. I get much joy out of trying to create little spaces with similar props and toys ie. building, recyclables basket, discovery spots, reflecting his interests at the time.

We include photos of us his family and Mitchell himself as a part of appealing to his sense of self and belonging! He loves his space even more when mummy or daddy are in there with him!!!
