When my four year old comes into the kitchen asking what smells so good, I know I have a dinner winner!
We have been giving Kyrstie‘s recipes from the Family Food eBook a real work out lately. I especially love choosing meals from the Quick & Easy section – I’m using fresh ingredients that I know are good for us, the flavours are fabulous and family friendly, and the time that the baby is grizzling under my feet is kept to an absolute minimum – and that makes a real dinner winner for me! The delicious Chicken Breast Burgers pictured above are a hit, as are the Quick Beef Stir Fry, Quinoa Chicken (our first introduction to quinoa and we are converted) and Lamb Mince Skewers (do your kids love food on a stick like mine does?), to name just a few.
But don’t just take my word for it, this is what others have had to say about the Family Food recipes,
“I kid you not dear readers; these burger patties were made by me in under 30 minutes. Further more, our whole family (including Miss 1 year old K) devoured them.” – Pauline, Lessons Learnt Journal
“We have already tried five of the recipes – they’re all winners so far and we’ll be using them again. We’ve tried the Chicken Pie, Tuna Patties, Tasty Beef Casserole, Easy Beef Burritos and Tuna Bake. I love that the recipes are easy to follow and are fresher, lighter versions than I might normally cook. The flavours are all child friendly, and Pebble particularly loved the Tuna Patties and Chicken Pie” – Kylie, Octavia and Vicky
“We’ve all devoured it and voted mine out and yours in! Loved it! Soooo tasty. Thanks for yet another delish and easy meal.” – Di
Also making short work of dinnertime at Chateau 101 has been the wonderful KitchenAid Artisan Food Processor recently loaned to me by KitchenAid. Mincing chicken, slicing veggies, making bread crumbs, combining ingredients – it’s been a real eye opener for a food processing novice like me, especially as food prep has always been my least favourite part of cooking…in fact, I am not quite sure how I will bring myself to send it back!
The Artisan is so easy to use. It features three different sized work bowls and a range of different cutting blades and discs, there is even a dough blade, egg whip and citrus press. All parts (except for the base unit) wash up quickly and easily – we use the dishwasher, and the accessories can all be stored together in the handy storage case – no more digging around in the kitchen junk drawer to find that one annoying missing piece that you only use every now and then.
KitchenAid shares lots of mouthwatering recipe ideas on their website and Pinterest boards – why not check out their Process This board for ideas for using your very own Artisan Food Processor… because one lucky Australian Childhood 101 reader is going to have the chance to win one!
You could win a KitchenAid Artisan Food Processor in the colour of your choice – empire red, almond cream, onyx black or white. Entry is simple. This is a game of skill and entries will be judged based on creativity and originality. Leave a comment on this post sharing:
