Are You a Pillow Snuggler?

This giveaway is coordinated by Nuffnang.

My Mum will tell you that ever since I was a baby I’ve been a tummy sleeper. Well, except when I am heavily pregnant – that big belly sort of gets in the way for those of us that prefer to sleep tummy side down. When I was pregnant with Immy, I started sleeping on my side snuggled into an extra pillow which I cuddled to my body and tucked under the side of the rapidly expanding bump! The thing is, ever since I have needed that snuggle pillow right there beside me, pregnant or not. Dad 101 complains that it’s like having an extra person in the bed but I just can’t give my snuggle pillow up :)

Plus I am picky about my pillows. I think a good, comfortable pillow is gold and for me comfort is about softness and a low profile. Having found a favourite, my biggest problem is giving it up for a new pillow when the old one’s reached its use-by date. And apparently I am not the only one. Australian pillow manufacturer Tontine report that the average age of a pillow in Australia is almost five years old. This in contrast to their advice to replace synthetic pillows every two years to minimise the risk of health complications arising from the mould commonly found in pillows, especially as the quantity and types of mould present appear to be directly related to the age of the pillow.

To make it easy to remember when it’s time to replace your pillow the clever folk at Tontine devised a date stamping system. The Tontine Fresh date stamped pillows have a use-by date to remind you that it’s time to find a new favourite. Fortunately their date stamped pillows are available in a range of styles and are available at major department stores, discount department stores and specialty stores across Australia, so more regularly finding a new favourite that is just right for you, however you sleep, has been made a whole lot easier.

For more information visit Tontine’s website or stay up to date with news from Tontine via their Facebook page.
