Our Play Space: Inspired by Dr Seuss!

A peek inside a reader’s play space…

This is the makeover that we did to Dimples’ reading corner in celebration of Dr. Seuss’s Birthday.  Dimples has his Dr. Seuss book set, ABC poster, 123 Poster and the Dr. Seuss character mobile hanging up in the his quiet corner. We often sit here and read books, he also sits here to eat his breakfast in the morning.

It’s nice and colourful and he loves looking at the walls. In the red boxes he has some traditional building blocks and cars but this quiet corner is also used for educational purposes, for when we do reading, tracing, colouring in, activity booklets, singing through the ABC & counting on the posters.

With thanks to Renee of Adventures at Home with Mum for sharing this playful space with us.

  1. Ohh I love Dr Seuss. I have to say our favorite book is The Foot Book. I could probably recite it word for word too. My boys also have a table and chair set similar to that one. They’ve had it since they were babies and my eldest (7) still uses it. They are a great investment for kids. Renee you’ve made a lovely corner and I especially like the tree limb!

I love the reading area. Where did you get your supplies? Is there a website for it?
