Our Play Space: The Quiet Room

We have peeked inside the Busy Brissy playroom before but this lucky family has a second play space, the ‘quiet’ room…

The ‘Quiet’ room presents a number of quieter play options.

Amanda writes… “I wondered if you had seen our “quiet room” which really is another playroom.  It got it’s name just after Miss H moved into the other bedroom to share with Miss M.  We found out that the neighbours were having twin baby girls.  Their bedroom is close to that room so we practised being a little quieter so we wouldn’t wake them up.  Funny thing is, we never hear them and they never hear us, even when we think our girlies are being super loud!”

A reading spot and dress ups.

I think in fact that this lucky family have playful spaces scattered throughout their home that are always evolving to suit the families needs, much like Tricia shared in her popular post, Creating Children’s Spaces in Every Corner of your Home.  Thank you again for sharing, Amanda.

  1. Thanks Christie. I have to say that I stole that beautiful colour co-ordination in the bookshelf idea from you.

  2. Love the way the tongue-and-groove walls just make you feel at home… and the blue is a super relaxing colour! And I love the labels with pictures and words above the dress-up baskets… what a great way to encourage word recognition and tidiness. Love it. grace
