We Play: The Collaborative Home of Great Play Ideas

This past week has been about keeping cool on the hot, hot days. Our paddle pool has been a welcome oasis during the afternoons. It is amazing how much fun an inch of water, some cups and bowls and a spoon or two become in the hands of a young child. Especially when you add a squirt of dishwashing liquid to make…
Lots and lots of BUBBLES!!!

To revisit my previous water play ideas check out 10 Fun Ways to Extend Water Play and Good, Clean Fun.

What were my favourite posts from last week? I have three words to describe this post – GREEN WITH ENVY! I have already told Dad 101 that a trip to our local green waste station is in order! And this post is something I have never seen before, which doesn’t happen very often when you have been a teacher for many years, it looks like such great fun.

What have you been playing this week?

We Play is a place to link up your own play experiences. Please read this post if it is your first time playing and link back to We Play in the body of your post. If you are viewing this post in a browser, you will need to click through to the actual post to see the We Play links.

  1. We got rid of our paddling pool when the girls got too big for it. With summer coming we need to get a bigger paddling pool to replace it. Love the soap suds idea.

  2. We love water play as well.

    Thanks for the link 🙂

Looking forward to seeing your tree stumps.

It's winter here in South Texas. We even had our first freeze over the weekend. It's warm again today, but not warm enough for water play. Guess that will happen in the tub tonight. We're already missing summer!

Longing for the hot days so we can play in the water again. We are waking up to frost on the grass and cars here in Pa. Our play is usually in a sprinkler come summer. I never would have thought of adding bubbles. Fun!

Immy looks like she's having lots of fun. In previous summers I have put bubble bath in the paddling pool on the hot evenings and called that bath time 😉
