What do you do when your child is loving a Christmas craft so much that they want to make more and more??? Let them make a whole collection and then string them up as a Christmas garland! That’s exactly what happened with these simple craftstick Christmas Trees.

Each tree uses two craftsticks – we used the oversized, pre-dyed ones but you can use any size and if you only have plain, un-dyed sticks at home then painting them with watercolours would be lots of fun too.

Then glue on the second half to form the trunk of the tree (see below). You can use white craft glue or hot glue – white glue will just take longer to dry. I pre-glued ours so that they were all dry and ready to decorate.

Immy used white craft glue to secure them. You could also use buttons and other small collage materials, and add glitter if you wanted too.

  1. This is a great family project! I think I will make them and write the kids names on the back so they know which one is theirs in future years.
