You may remember a little while ago I showed you the collage I made and the lovebird print I purchased for Immy’s room. So I thought I would give you a little peek inside her room where they now hang.
The idea for Immy’s nursery/bedroom began with a collection of golden frames. I could visualise a wall of prints and photographs in group of mismatched, decorative, golden frames and at about 36 weeks pregnant started scouring thrift stores and market stalls in search of them. Some needed repairing and repainting and they were then filled with images I loved – beautiful papers, prints by myself and others, and favourite photographs. As Immy has grown, I have replaced some of the images to include more photographs of her with family, and, of course, the collage I made from her own artwork.
This is just one corner of the room (and a very important part of our sleep time routine) and as well as the gold frames you can see some of the Mooo removeable butterfly wall stickers which I posted about back in January (I love them and they are completely re-positionable). And you never know, one day soon I may just show you the rest of the room 🙂
