Heading out on a scavenger hunt is a great way to engage kids with active learning and this printable Alphabet Scavenger Hunt is super useful as it can be completed indoors or outdoors!
Simply print a copy of the Alphabet Hunt printable (instructions for download can be found at the bottom of this post), decide where your child is going to hunt and send them off with a pencil and clipboard to see what they can find.
Other ways this list can be used;

- Place students into small groups and send them out on an alphabet hunt around the school
- If completing the hunt outdoors, take a basket and collect loose treasures that you find along the way. You can even bring these items back indoors for use to in a nature collage or try making leaf faces.
- Extend the learning by asking your child to take a photo of each item they include on their list as they find it
And if you enjoy this scavenger hunt, you can follow it up by taking our Family Scavenger Hunt on your next family walk.
