Now that it is Summer, I find myself choosing dresses more regularly from the wardrobe. Here are three of my choices from this week…
I bought this Roxy dress when I was pregnant with Immy, nothing like lightweight fabrics when you are pregnant! It was strapless and as a (very) small busted woman, I am not a huge fan of strapless, so I hand stitched some black ribbon on to make my own ties.
This is a Target dress which I bought just before we went to Singapore. It reminds me of a 1950’s housewife for some reason!
This Tokito dress has been a lifesaver so many times, I love it. When I have nothing to wear it always gets pulled out of the wardrobe. It has been dressed up with wedges and great jewellery for dinner commitments and this week I teamed it with a black, short-sleeved cardigan to dress it down for playgroup. I am not a huge fan of my upper arms at the moment (they really need toning!) so I often add a short-sleeved cardigan (I have about 10 in my wardrobe) to cover them up. I also completely agree with Kat’s tip about metallic sandals being so versatile for Summer. I have a zensu pair which I bought last Summer that are muted silver, gold and bronze and I can team them with nearly every dress I own.
For those in the Northern hemisphere, I love dresses for Winter too. I just team them with some opaque tights or footless leggings and a long sleeved cardigan or denim jacket.
