From the Bottom of My ♥

I am not really one to buy into the commercial side of Valentine’s Day. I am however, thinking that I am somewhat addicted to making bunting. Today I decided to whip up this simple felt heart bunting which can double as our little piece of Valentine’s Day romance and then decorate Immy’s bedroom or playroom. Though, I am so happy with how it turned out that I may just save it for my study!

I simply cut out the hearts from five shades of red and pink felt, using a large scrapbooking heart template for the shape. I used a zig zag stitch to sew them onto silver ribbon (from darkest to lightest) and added a little extra sewn detail on every second heart.

Bunting is the best! How cute is yours. Not sure it's even my sewing level Cath but I can admire!!

It seems the bunting addiction is quite common. It looks great.

The bunting looks lovely and is a real fun way to liven up the space.

ALDI have heart shaped pasta on special this week. My girls and I are going to be making pasta bracelets and other fun things with it on Saturday to surprise Daddy with on Sunday :)

Bit of a bunting fan myself – and I'd happily live with that sort of hearty goodness all year 'round.

It's sweet, it's all about love. I'm having some mummies over tomorrow for a morning tea with heart shaped brownies & strawberry cup cakes, with extra fresh strawberries & whipped cream. Shall be so nice, plus sandwiches so they are my captives until lunch!! Love Posie

What a great idea! I've never tried to make bunting. I've seen it before on crafty websites, but it always looked a little too complicated for my taste--and budget and time and skills. : ) But this looks like a great idea, and easily modified to any shape or theme year-round!
