Let’s Celebrate SPRING: No Sew Fabric Bunting

There is no simpler way to add a little seasonal colour to your home then by adding a gorgeous bunting – especially when it is a no sew fabric bunting!

I chose the colours for this bunting based on the bird fabric which was hiding in my stash – birds represent Springtime, don’t they? In this case, by teaming them with the orange, I wonder if this actually looks a little more Autumn/Fall-like?

To make this bunting I cut small diamonds out of cotton fabric with pinking shears (each completed triangle is approximately 4cm across the top by 5 1/2cm in length). These I folded in half over an orange string and secured by ironing closed with a little fusible webbing in between. It was actually a great way of using up some scraps of fabric and the webbing 🙂

I am hoping that even my non-sewing friends will give this one a try. I would love to see the results.

What ideas do you have for adding a little seasonal colour to your home?

That looks so festive. I think I fit firmly into the catagory of non-sewing person so these are right up my alley Christie.

Looks great, and I love that bird fabric. I am definitely a no sew person so I may give this a go in Canada for Christmas time, brighten up my little apartment (which I am yet to find)

Oooohhh ... I love bunting too! How funny as I was working on some bunting for my business ... ickle Kids.

I wanted to create a fun way of having my business name on show when I was at craft markets. So I cut out "ickle" letters from bright colourful felt (according to the colours of my logo) and stuck them onto felt triangles. I'm waiting for them to dry before taking a photo!

I'm so excited about the outcome! Can't wait to see it in use for my first market on Friday!

Oh, Christie - I LOVE this! Have always wanted to do flags for the boys' room, but figured I couldn't do it because I do. not. sew.

    So, now you've inspired me!

    Love it. xx
