MiniMi Personalised Print Giveaway

I get so excited when I find a product I love, even better when it is made right here in Australia by an inspirational Australian Mum! I recently stumbled across the MiniMi store and fell in love with their range of gorgeous prints, perfect for funky, modern children’s rooms. I contacted Stephanie at MiniMi to find out more about her products…

Tell us a little about you…

Hi, my name is Stephanie. I am Mummy to two beautiful, loving, fun, amazing children. My princess Brooke, who is approaching 4 years old, and my little fella Jack, who is 10 months. I am also a wife to my wonderful husband, Luke, who I married just 2 years ago in a gorgeous ceremony on the beach in Langkawi (a must visit for those who haven’t already 🙂

Originally from the UK, I came to Australia in 2004 having full intentions of discovering this beautiful country for a year and heading back home to start the process of applying to join the police force! Oh boy… how things/plans change!! In a nut shell…

I live in Melbourne, I have a Maltese dog named Harley, I google everything, I drink tea, I love horses, hot chips are my down fall, I spend way too much money on my hair, I spoil my children (what mum doesn’t???), I miss my family & friends in the UK, I looove everything handmade, my favourite colour is lime green, I like to cook but shhh… don’t tell my husband that, and I am increasingly house proud!

How did MiniMi come about?

MiniMi was born in August 2009 after struggling to find any modern nursery decor for Jack’s room. I decided to design and create my own and had such great feedback from friends and family who requested my work for their own children or as gifts for their friends.

I then chose to share my designs with all Australian mums who are looking for something cool, funky and modern for their little mini modern people of today!

All of MiniMi’s items are handmade to order, which normally takes place during Jack’s nap times with a cup of tea not too far away, a little bit of Buble in the background and the helping hands of Brooke who likes to pass me each component as its needed (A help or a hindrance… I’ll let you decide on that one. Hehehe).

What is your favourite MiniMi product?

Hmmm, at the moment my favourite is my ‘FuNkY Alphabet Name Print’ which proves to be a lot of other people’s too as it is my top seller. I am also LOOOVING my MoDeRn Mobiles which are soon to be released (hopefully before xmas).

Where do you find inspiration for new designs?

Oh… so many things inspire me all around me! My only MUST is to have have a pen on me at all times so when something does inspire me and triggers that ideas bulb in my head I’m able to jot it down. As a busy mum, once I eventually get to sit down in my studio its likely that I would have forgotten any ideas from earlier in the day!

Stephanie is offering readers of Childhood 101 the chance to win a ‘Personalised Print’ of their choice, including postage! To enter, check out the range of items in the MiniMi store and then leave a comment on this post telling us which print would be perfect for your child’s room. And while you are at it, become a Facebook fan of MiniMi too! Competition closes Sunday, 13th December at midday Perth, Western Australia time.

This giveaway has now closed.

Oh I love the simple Alphabet Print in mint green. The bold typeset on the pale background is sublime. Great find Christie - thanks for the comp!!

Alphabet Pastels Print - Mint Green would go great in my boys room as we are going for greens and reds. My two share a room so as much as i love the ones with their names- it would be a little unfair. Hrm maybe I would just have to buy a second one :)
    Thanks,
    Jenna,

I love the baby birth details prints, but I think my son would prefer the 'A is for Abby' initial print (obviously with his name). I like the cute whales in the MiniMi logo too.
    Thanks for the giveaway.
