When she found out that we were pregnant, a very wise friend suggested that for each grocery shop we buy one or two extra “expensive” items when they were on special, stocking up on the bigger ticket grocery items before we made the move to one income.
Top of our expensive items list were toiletries and cleaning products, especially laundry products – laundry powder, stain remover and Napisan. So for the duration of the pregnancy we bought up big on toiletries and cleaning products, squirrelling everything away in big plastic crates in our garage. And it did make a significant difference to our grocery bill over the next 12 months.
Fast forward three years and the decision not to return to full-time work means I still look for ways to save money on our grocery bill! So I was very interested when the opportunity arose to trial Bosisto’s EucoFresh Laundry Powder. It proves to be great value for money as the ultra concentrate formula and complete absence of fillers (tiny, insoluble particles that don’t fully dissolve in your wash which many other brands contain) means you use less powder per wash. The scoop is really small and even when you use two scoops as recommended, it is still a lot less than my previous concentrated laundry powder recommended, and 40 washes per 1.5kg box is good value for money.
Bosisto’s EucoFresh is environmentally friendly, being fully biodegradable and grey-water safe. It does not contain petrochemicals, bleach, enzymes, animal ingredients, synthetic perfumes, sodium laurel sulfate, palm oils or dyes (for more EucoFresh facts and figures visit the FGB website). But it does contain the very Australian scent of 100% pure Eucalyptus oil. I have been washing with it for almost a week now and love opening the machine to the smell of … clean 🙂
Thanks to FGB I have a SIX month supply of Bosisto’s EucoFresh to giveaway to one very lucky reader. But wait there’s more! Not only will the winner receive a six month supply of laundry powder, they will also win 5 bottles of EucoFresh Pre-Wash Stain Remover and 5 fresh new green bath towels. That is a total prize value of $165. And imagine what you can buy for yourself with what you will save on your grocery bill!
