Sponsor Spotlight: A Playful Review & Giveaway

Read on for your chance to win a $150 voucher to spend online at Bunyip Toys.

When I was invited to review an item from the Playmobil range I must admit I wondered if Immy had outgrown it’s playful potential. And then I was shown the swimming pool set and I knew that it was something my imaginative girl would love.

And I was right! From the moment we began unpacking and assembling the set, Immy was captivated.  Not only does she love the fact that we filled the pool with water (perfect on these hot, sunny days we have been having), and that it has a pump activated shower and a water slide, but the number of figurines (six) and accessories (heaps! Including tiny flip flops for the people, a book for Mum to read by the pool and a stereo!) has led to lots of extended periods of imaginative play since we set it up under our patio three days ago!

playmobil

This was my first experience with Playmobil and I am impressed. Although it took more assembly then I expected, Immy was able to help with much of this. Also I should mention that the small pieces would mean this particular set is not suitable for children who still mouth toys (it is recommended for children aged 4+).

Amongst the extensive range of toys in store at Bunyip Toys, you’ll find range a great range of Playmobil (word is that head bunyip, Andrew, has been collecting Playmobil for over 30 years!)  You will also find art supplies, wooden toys, science fun, dress ups, puzzles and more! If you have still got Christmas shopping to do, Bunyip’s very reasonable flat $8 delivery rate (Australia wide) makes shopping from the comfort of your couch a much more attractive alternative to facing the Christmas shopping crowds at your local shopping centre!

Bunyip Toys are giving one Childhood 101 reader the chance to win a $150 gift voucher to be spent in their online store. To enter, visit Bunyip Toys online and have a browse of their store, then return to this post and leave a comment below telling me how you would spend the voucher. Simple! But be quick, this giveaway is only open for 7 days.

Open to Australian residents only. THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.

Congratulations to Genine #39 the winner of the Bunyip Toys voucher.

The fine print:
1. The competition ends at 6pm AEST, Thursday, December 8th, 2011.
2. Entry is open to Australian residents only.
3. One entry per household/IP address.
4. To enter you must leave a comment on this blog post sharing how you would spend the gift voucher at Bunyip Toys.

The playmobile fairy range looks great - right down my 2 girls alley. But really there are too many choices to make.

I would buy the Endangered Species Bath Colouring Scenes because they look like a lot of fun and kind on the environment. I would also get the seedlings worm farm kit which would encourage gardening and outdoor play. What lovely toys they have at Bunyip toys.

I would pick some products from the educational toys section. I like the look of the Baby Book case - 4 starter books :)

Seedling Cookie Inventor Kit- it would give me and Miss L some time in the kitchen making a mess for Mr Hubby to clean up.

There are waaaay to many gorgeous toys there... and if my hubby got a look at them, I don't think I'd even get a say!! We both had meccano as kids so the Meccano model sets would be high on the list... but oh my that Quadrilla Twist Set is amazing!!

I think we would go mad on the Seedling range in this house, such gorgeous looking activities to keep Miss 5 busy between Christmas and the start of school :)

Playmobil for sure. My parents just gifted my youngest son a small playmobil motorbike and rider and he loves it! So do I! The quality is awesome. So yes, playmobil. Pirates, construction and that pool party set look just perfect. With maybe a little Sylvanian family treat for my sister-in-law who has her original collection from childhood! Thanks so much for the chance to win. What a great prize. Thank you too for the introduction to that site. I will be hitting that up for all my birthday present needs!

Oh golly it's a hard choice with so many fab toys! But, ever since I was a child I have always wanted Sylvanian family toys, and I would now love to be able to give those to my little girl, so it would have to be the Sylvanian Car and Caravan, so gorgeous :)

What an awesome site. I think I'd definitely put it towards commencing a Playmobil collection for my daughters. Would be so hard to choose which set to begin with as they would adore so many. I also thought a lot of the puppets were really cute, particularly the story telling finger puppets.

My daughter is too young for Playmobil, butI'm just in love with the Wooden Village Blocks! There are also some ridiculously awesome puppets that I would love to get.

I would get the water park set for my playmobil mad kids - they love all things playmobil and it is one we have wanted for ages. We'd also get a few extra people to come enjoy the fun!!! Playmobil is simply the best toy for children and the best thing is, it is built to last. My kids have my old sets from the 80's! We will pass these on to their kids too :-) What a great competition!

I can't go past the wooden toys and would chose the Wooden Village Blocks and Stacking Clown. Oh, and the Bella Butterfly picnic set is too cute.

sorry - just can't get past the Playmobil! Would go for something that both my little boy and girl could play with together so lots of things from the City Life range...the garden; street crossing; postman; shopper on bike; school children; father with bbq; mum with baby; billycart racer. Like the idea of getting a Xmas one too that gets pulled out each year.

On the recommendation of the above review (as I haven't looked into this brand before) I think I will spend it on a PLAYMOBIL collection.
