#7 – Super Sarah 🙂
Congratulations, I will be in touch!
When I was growing up, I coveted my older cousin’s nurses dress up costume. And her fringed cowgirl vest and sheriff badge! Dress ups are truly timeless, the stuff childhood memories are well and truly made of and today’s featured sponsor, Dress Ups, is most definitely in the business of creating treasured memories.
From Liza of Dress Ups;
“Dress Ups, Dress Ups and Make Believe … take me to the place where I can dream!
Take me back to the place where life was simple and young minds were rich and free. Where a helmet transformed us into soldiers scrambling through the bush, where high heels and a cape made us Queen for the day! A time when trees were for climbing and creating forts, where mud was more than ‘Mother Earth.’ and the pool more treacherous than the high seas! A time when the peach tree would become our tower, laden with sweet juicy fruit – that on many an occasion was eaten until our stomachs hurt, and rotting remnants became missiles from an enemy force! Take me to this place so we can all dream … where our minds are the pot of gold and play our neverending rainbow!”
This pretty much sums up my childhood. I am the baby of three girls raised on a farm with a Mother who loved making us dressing up costumes. When I had my own children it actually came as a shock to me that childhood these days is neither so wholesome … nor creative.
So my wonderful Mother, who made us dressing up costumes as children, was dragged on board my crusade to bring a slice of innocence from past generations back to this generation of children! I am sure she didn’t envisage herself sewing costumes to be sent around the globe when her baby was 36!
Dress Ups prides themselves on the wholesome designs of our costumes; some of our patterns are over 30 years old! We hope you pop over to our site to pass the gift of play on to your special little one!
Thanks to Dress Ups, your child can become a bride, a builder, a butterfly or Batman beware! There are wings and tails, costumes for all types of occupation and costumes for purely imagining. There are even checked trousers, aprons and hats for mini Masterchefs!
