We Play
Thank you to everyone who linked to We Play last week, I love that we are seeing play ideas for children of many different ages, both inside and outdoors ideas, and representing imaginative play, creative play, physical play, language learning, we really have it all! Please remember to visit links during the week and leave comments to show your support for the We Play community.
The winner of Week 2’s prize as donated by sponsor, Kids Music Toys, was #4 – Joyful Leaner (as generated by random.org), if you haven’t yet done so, read the inspirational words of wisdom contained within the winning post.
My pick for the week, you’ll find through the magical door…
What were we playing this week? I stumbled upon the little tableau on the left in our spare bedroom one morning, with Immy nowhere in sight. Moments later she appeared, carrying in a picnic morning tea for her friends and a magnificent tea party was shared. You can read more of my thoughts on learning through imaginary play here.
And now it is over to you, what have you been playing this week? This week’s We Play links will all be entered into the draw to win a wooden cutting fruit set care of our sponsor, The Toy Bug.
Please remember to link to your post URL, not your home page URL. If this is your first time playing, find the instructions to play here. If you are viewing this post in a reader, you will need to visit the post to see the links 🙂
Happy playing everyone 🙂
First! So there's another advantage if the girls sleep through and we get up earlier 😀
Sometimes I wish I had girls… my boys haven't been interested in tea parties…
Thank you! I love your blog!
Fun! I'm in 🙂
I love tea parties 🙂 Such good practice for so many skills. We are working on teaching table manners and tea parties are a great fun way to do that.
I can't link direct to my blog post through open ID so will link here –

9:45 PM here in the U.S. Daddy just finished reading to the children and they're all tucked-in. Very lucky to have a Daddy that reads every night! Tomorrow will be a new day of fun and exploration!

Your photos of Immy playing picnics bring back so many memories. When Miss M was a similar age we played parties and picnics every day for weeks on end. You have a creative little girl on your hands – so wonderful Christie!
Done, and wow, thank you on choosing me as your pick last week! Given the immensely great entries available, I'm very flattered 😉
Great to see you playing along again, we <3 tea parties!
Kathy, I can't wait until Immy discovers fairies!
Can't believe we have snow here and the forecast was right. It's Spring!
