We Play: Come and Join Us!

On the weekend we trimmed our Christmas tree. I must say it is so much fun with the help of an almost three year old. I smile at the clusters of decorations clumped together on the bottom third of the tree – and I haven’t rearranged even one!

Just as I did last year, in an effort to keep Immy from playing with the decorations on the large tree, I have given her a small tree all of her own and a small collection of ornaments which are added to each day as part of our advent calendar. She loves trimming, un-trimming and re-trimming the tree, over and over and over…oh, the joys of Christmas 🙂

I showed you one of my favourite posts last week, the outdoor seating area at Little Eco Footprints which lead to our own family excursion to the local green waste collection area. We came home the new owners of some rather large stumps which you can see here (why not enter the great Modern Little Munchkins giveaway while you are there, it is open worldwide!) Lucky for Dad 101, this weeks favourite post doesn’t involve heavy pieces of wood! Though it was hard to choose, especially with so many holiday inspired posts…this one however takes an unique approach to Christmas decorations!

What have you been playing this week?

We Play is a place to link up your own play experiences. Please read this post if it is your first time playing and link back to We Play in the body of your post. If you are viewing this post in a browser, you will need to click through to the actual post to see the We Play links.

We are enjoying playing Christmas activities and seeing all the other posts with play ideas.

    Thank you for sharing!

  5. Good on you for not re-arranging the ornaments, no matter how clumpy they might be. That's what makes Christmas decorating special – the little loving touches 🙂

Lovely post with cute photos of Immy enjoying her tree.
My boys love to decorate, too. I linked up to We Play for this week and want to invite anyone who would also like to pop over to my blog to link up if they have done either some holiday fun projects or some community service projects. I am adding weekly link ups so that people can pop by to get ideas for Reggio Emilia inspired projects / emergent curriculum ideas / community service and art ideas…
    Have a happy week:) Colleen
