What a great activity! We're verging on winter here but I can't wait for Spring to come back around and to start planting again. This would be a great way to involve my boys.
What lovely photos of Immy in the sandpit. Are the flowers real? They are so bright!
In this case, they are not real flowers Juliet. They don't tend to last long with petals making they way into mud pie creations 🙂
This is just what I needed to see today. My family is currently living in a townhome just outside of Wash. DC. It is so crowded here, we have no outside space to call our own. I was only able to squeeze a small sandbox next to our trash cans with a common area of grass right behind us. Not what I call “paradise” by any means! I was feeling very sad about my kids missing out on exploring the their own back yards as I did as a kid, and I actually tried to make a list of things we could do with this lackluster environment, I did’t come up with much! I just put the kids to bed and found this post, there will be flowers in the sandbox tomorrow!
