I must say, considering everything that has been happening over the past few months and the fact that I am now in Kuala Lumpur for four days for the Nuffnang Asia Pacific Blog Awards ceremony tonight, I am feeling relatively relaxed about Christmas.
The tree is up, the presents bought and carols sung. We have a simple plan for Christmas Day and I fully intend to keep it as easy and relaxed as I can.
In our house, we’ll start the day with Immy’s stocking and breakfast for the three (and a half) of us
This year Christmas lunch is at our house. I think I actually prefer it this way. I would rather spend my time doing a little cleaning in preparation (which has to be done anyway) then spend Christmas day driving around between relatives. There will be presents (though this year I have deliberately bought less), Christmas carols (despite the groans of many!), good food, and there is sure to be embarrassing family stories! But everyone is bringing a contribution to the meal which makes the preparation easy, especially for someone with limited culinary talents! There will be laughter and joy and a very excited almost 4 year old for whom we will be creating important family memories which will hopefully last a lifetime.
What will Christmas Day look like for your family?
