Feedback on Art Not Craft…

“Art Not Craft is an excellent resource for anyone who is involved in the lives of young children. Pointing out the important difference between product-driven crafts and process-focused art, this ebook gives a wealth of information and explanations. Readers will not only find new ideas for expressive art experiences, but also get a closer look at how to emphasize the developmental aspects of the art process and maximize the value of each experience. I know I’ll be referring to this ebook again and again for wonderful art ideas!”
~ Amanda Morgan NotJustCute.com – Mother, Teacher, Writer, Blogger

“Children are inherently creative, and are capable of doing so much more than merely copying simple crafts. In this ebook Christie opens up a world of possibilities for you to explore with your child, or with a whole class of young children. I highly recommend “Art Not Craft” to parents and educators who are looking to provide rich, creative and artistic opportunities for the children in their care.”
~ Catherine Oehlman Squigglemum.com – Mother, Teacher, Writer, Blogger

“[Reading Art Not Craft] is like talking to a teacher who knows her stuff, but is friendly and approachable as well. Knowing that you are a parent and have actually tried this stuff at home (with pics of Immy to prove it) makes it authentic and gives you the feeling that you just want to jump right in and try it all out yourself.”
~ Jenny Kable Let The Children Play – Mother, Teacher, Blogger

Thank you for the eBook, just what we need for our unit planners art integration. We always need hands on exercises.

Dear Christie,
I would like to buy the e-book, but I don’t have a paypal account, (I live in Serbia and paypal is not supported here). Is there any other way that I can pay for the book. For example with ordinary visa card? Do you have any other suggestion?
All the best,
Vera

Hi,

Just purchased this book – can’t wait to have a look, it is exactly what I was after – and I just happened upon SquiggleMum who happened to post about it a few days ago – a nice find!

Have you ever considered making it available on something like http://www.blurb.com/, although I like ebooks, I do LURVE real books too. If you had it as an option to buy a hardcopy I have a friend who I would love to gift it to!

Please let me know if you check it out and go ahead! I will be first in line to buy!

Ta x

This book looks AMAZING! (Thanks for posting a comment on my blog!) I am happy to have had a chance to discover your blog and have added your book to my must read list. I love art with my toddler and would love to find more ways to incorporate art (not craft) into our daily lives. Thanks!

Christie, you and I must never be in the same room with children or the art supplies will explode and turn into silvery confetti, and so will we! So much love of art and children! Seriously, I admire you, your passion, AND YOUR BOOK tremendously.

Hehehe…I think that would be a fantastic explosion of creativity, we must try and make it happen one day soon :)

Hi! This is wonderful! Exactly how I feel about art! The cleaners at school must hate me because I’m always letting my class do messy stuff. I broke the “rules” by using glitter during non-Christmas times :)
