Our Play Space: Lily’s Special Spaces

A peek inside a readers play space…

At our place we don’t really have a single space large enough to dedicate as a ‘playroom’ for our 2 year old daughter, so I try and incorporate a learning environment in each of our living areas. I also do things like store library books and puzzles inside the buffet in our lounge, use our existing tables as activity stations and use our fridge for magnet play.

Lily’s art table is actually in the corner of our family room, which can get a little messy (I’m also not great at keeping it clean and tidy), but I figure her growth and enjoyment at this age is far more precious than the state of my house!

Thank you so much to Kate for sharing Lily’s gorgeous and very special playful spaces with us 🙂

July is ‘House or Home’ month at Childhood 101. Do you have a family or kids play space in your home that you love (indoors or outdoors)? Submit your play space here and you too could be featured on Childhood 101.

  1. What a great use of space! I also love the vertical files on the wall.

  2. I love that you are allowing Lily to enjoy playing freely in the house – and you are so right, she won’t be this age ever again, love your blog, Kierna
