Next month we are heading off on a long overdue family vacation and I am already collecting activity ideas to keep my girls busy on the plane rides. As I was researching, I noticed that there seemed to be a shortage of simple, screen free activities to keep older kids busy – think 8-13 years – and so I decided to create a collection of fun games and challenges that I know will be a hit with school age kids.
The collection includes 32 activity cards featuring fun games that are suitable for air travel or road tripping, and that can be played with nothing more than a paper and pen. There are word and math games, drawing challenges, and games to play alone and with others. If each card kept your child busy for just 30 minutes, then that is a total of 16 hours of fun!
The activities are included on a series of cards that can be printed out at home, cut apart and easily stored in a travel soap container that will take up next to no room in your carry on luggage. Here’s a little sneak peek at some of the cards…
