Playopedia Picks: Story Connections

June 28, 2011

There are a host of new ideas for your playful enjoyment over at Playopedia today so be sure to check them out. Today I am highlighting some of the great ideas for encouraging playful engagement with stories and storytelling which have been submitted so far…

Very Hungry Caterpillar Story Bag
Become an Author

With school holidays almost upon us on my side of the world and summer break for many of my overseas friends, next week I would love to highlight ideas for school aged children so be sure to submit your playful posts here.

P.S. I have had a number of people ask about providing a way to search Playopedia by age and it is very close to being a reality…watch this space for an announcement!

Love it, thank you!

Have you checked out this post on my blog for encouraging children to write their own stories using play props?

The Very Hungry Caterpillar is one of our favourites. It was a book I read as a child and just had to have in our li’l library for the girls. I love this idea. Will certainly be trying it out. :)

I like the idea of shaddow puppets, and writing a book. We might try making a book this weekend. Thanks for the link love :-)
