Books Like Rainbow Magic: 15 Magical Fairy Book Series for 6-10 Year Olds
Both of our daughters (and many of their friends!) were big fans of the Rainbow Magic book series which led me on a search for books like Rainbow Magic and down a magical path into delightful fairy book series for six to ten year olds!
Books Like Rainbow Magic
While the Rainbow Magic book series offered a gentle introduction into the world of chapter books, I was secretly relieved when my own children finally moved on from them. While this series of magical stories of friendship are somewhat captivating for 5-8 year olds, I found them a little too repetitive and formulaic to be overly enjoyable…at least as an adult!
Today I am sharing 15 magical fairy books series (that might just include one or two featuring other magical creatures!) as read alikes for the Rainbow Magic titles. Those early on the list are primarily shorter chapter books, with simple vocabulary and some illustrations scattered throughout the story, and the series suggestions develop in complexity as you move through the list.
The themes explored are suitable for children aged 6-10 to read on their own, but if your children are anything like mine, they still love it when you read to them too!
