Our Play Space: Playhood

A peek inside a reader’s play space…

Parenthood has been the most amazing and rewarding experience for my husband and I. We have been thrilled to see our little boy’s beautiful playful spirit and we know that it is through play that children’s imagination, curiosity, and creativity develops. Consequently, we have used our basement to create a very special and unique learning environment for us and many little friends who want to join us.

The pictures show our two favorite areas: the kitchen and our tree. Children love to play in the kitchen, they choose food from the pantry, cook delicious meals, serve customers at their restaurant, etc. Our indoor tree is another spot we enjoy, we love to sit under the tree and imagine we see insects and birds or play with balls, legos or push cars.

With thanks to Vicky for sharing her family’s very special play space with us.
