  • The Lorax speaks for the trees. What or whom would you speak for? How would you spread your message?
  • The Cat in the Hat has a trademark item of clothing. What would yours be, and why would you choose it?
  • Did I ever tell you how lucky you are? No? Tell me in a poem or letter.
  • Draw your own Wacky Wedneday scene with at least ten wacky things in it. Make a list of all the wacky things you’ve included.
  • Make a list of ten animals you would include in your zoo. Draw one, name it and describe it.
  • If you were Sally or her brother, what would you have done when the Cat in the Hat showed up at your house and invited himself in?
  • Create a poster advertising one book by Dr Seuss. Include three compelling reasons why it’s such a great book to read.
  • Write a letter to the Grinch to tell him all the reasons you think Christmas is awesome.
