Our Play Space: A Light, Bright, Organised Playroom

The bright, natural light and carefully thought out layout and organisation makes this playroom so inviting. There is certainly lots to inspire, even if you don’t have a dedicated playroom space.

Where is the space? NY, USA

Tell us a little about how your child/ren use and play in this space
This play space was designed for my 3 year old son, Reid.  He takes after his mom and likes everything to have a proper home.  He also takes after his dad and likes to create a mess so we wanted a lot of open floor space.

What are your favourite elements within this play space?
My favorite part of this room is the windows (and window seats).  I love having a place to sit and watch Reid play (for the 3 minutes a day he plays alone).  I would have to say Reid’s favorite part of the room are the road rugs.  He is always playing construction site on them.  Although when I asked him what his favorite things in the room was he said “Eberyting”.

How does this space reflect your beliefs about how children play?
This space is perfect for our needs right now.  There are plenty of different toys to encourage imaginative play but there is also plenty of room to run and play various learning activities and games. Also having a home for all the toys really helps and encourages Reid to put his toys away properly.

Head over to My Life of Travels and Adventures to find out more about this gorgeous space.
