It’s raining here again today. Time to bring out something new, or in this case, make something new!
Immy is a big fan of Charlie and Lola books (by Lauren Child) and many of the books come with stickers that you can stick into the book to enhance the illustrations but we never got around to sticking them in (mainly because I know my sticker loving toddler would be trying to peel them off again and in the process ruin the book!)
So I have stored the stickers away and today had the bright idea of making them into magnets for Immy to play with. It was as simple as sticking the stickers onto those free promotional fridge magnets you seem to collect without really trying to and then cutting them out.
Now we can use the pieces to make up our own Charlie and Lola stories, either on the fridge or on a magnet board. Of course, you can use any type of stickers and your game doesn’t have to be for making stories. I can see sets of vehicle or fish stickers transformed into a fun fridge counting game or two sets of identical stickers used to make a matching game. Either way, it will make for a simple and fun toddler game time 🙂
P.S. If you don’t have a magnet board try a baking tray, works just as well!
