Looking Forward to a Great 2013

I know it has been a little quiet about these parts the last few weeks! It’s school holidays here in Australia and given that it’s our last summer holiday before Immy starts full-time school I decided to take a bit of a break from frontline blogging so we could spend more time together as a family. I have however been working behind the scenes to make a plan for the year ahead and I have some exciting news to share.

Firstly, I am so pleased to introduce a newly expanded team of contributors to the blog. Some of my favourite bloggers have agreed to come and hang out with me, sharing their own unique journeys as parents and educators. Joining Kate (Picklebums), Tricia (Little Eco Footprints) and Kyrstie (A Fresh Legacy) will be;

Kate of An Everyday Story,

Debi of Go Explore Nature,

Kylie of Octavia and Vicky,

Ali of At Home with Ali, and

Arlee of Small Potatoes.

Naomi will continue to pop in from time to time, as will another friend of mine whom I am hoping to introduce shortly. You can read a little more about each of the new gals over on the Meet the Team page or by following the link to their individual blogs.

My dream for Childhood 101 has always been to create a place that busy parents of (and others involved with) young children can come to for inspiration and information. In 2013 we have an exciting calendar of post ideas focused around four key topic areas – Play & Learning, Food & Family, Positive Parenting and Home & Garden. We hope you will find lots of ideas for celebrating the joy of childhood together as a family.

I also have some very big, very exciting giveaways coming up. Watch closely for a chance to win very soon with both KitchenAid and Howards Storage World. Did you know you can receive email updates of all new posts on the blog by signing up via email subscription? It’s a great way to make sure that you never miss a post and I know you are not going to want to miss these giveaways! You might also like to…

Finally, I have also been hanging out over at Dettol’s Mission for Health website – I have been contracted as one of their new blogging ambassadors and will be posting for Dettol regularly in 2013. Be sure to check it out ๐Ÿ™‚

I am looking forward to a great year in 2013 and hope you will join us for the ride,

Christie x
