Our Play Space: A Busy Brissy Playroom

A peek inside a reader’s play space…

Our playroom is really the place where the fun begins, as play regularly takes over our little old queenslander house!  The ‘quiet room’ (a spare bedroom as BBM’s two daughters share a room) becomes a library, the playroom floor becomes a swimming pool or place to build a city and the girl’s bedroom becomes a house for tea parties.  An all-in family game of hide ‘n’ seek has us running from room to room giggling and hiding under covers, in the bath tub, behind doors and under tables.  Our play spaces are always changing to create new ideas and play opportunites.

Our family is spontaneous with a dash of daily routine and plenty of good boundaries.  Our home is a place where fun and creativity is encouraged through cooking, play, music and art.  You can find it everywhere!

Thank you to my wonderful bloggy friend, Amanda of Busy Brissy Mum for sharing her inspiring playroom with us.

That is a gorgeous playroom. I just love the display of artwork and the expedit shelves for toy storage. I think they are just the best shelves for children’s spaces. I wish we had the room in our house for a dedicated playroom. Ah well next house 🙂
