Our Play Space: Thing One & Thing Two’s Playroom

A peek inside a reader’s play space…

These are Two Things that like to have fun, and this is a space that works for everyone!

This use to be a garage, but was enclosed and turned into a home office by the previous owner. It is a nice big space, making it great for lots of different kinds of play.

We have placed the majority of their toys on a high shelf, so they will have to ask for them. This is to encourage speech development (and to minimize the amount of mess they can create at one time). I rotate the toys on the shelves and the toys in the bins every few weeks. It keeps the the girls from getting bored and makes old toys seem new again.

I also try to up-cycle/re-purpose lots of things for use in the playroom, such as a utensil holder, peanut cans, dishwasher tab tubs, and plastic strawberry buckets.

You can read more about Thing One & Two’s Playroom here.

Thank you to Katie of The Artful Child for sharing her family play space.

Love the window box! I would love one of those for reading at my place. Looks like a cosy and lovely place to play and learn.
