Great picture books exploring the concept of the number 100. Great for the 100th day of school, or any day!
Picture books are a fabulous resource for engaging children with mathematical concepts. By capturing a child’s imagination, picture books make the process of learning about what can be quite abstract concepts more interesting, relevant and meaningful. The ten books presented here all provide a basis for exploring number concepts related to counting to 100.
They are great resources to use as part of your 100 day of school celebrations or as part of your study of place value – but really, everyday is a good day to explore books about numbers!
As with all of my book collections, I encourage you to please take a moment to read reviews and age recommendations for any titles you are unfamiliar with. Each title is linked to an Amazon page where you can find further information.
