Let’s Read & Learn Together: Siblings Without Rivalry

I recently asked the Childhood 101 Facebook community if there was anyone interested in an online, virtual book club, reading together Siblings Without Rivalry by Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish (published by W.W. Norton & Co, 2012). Thanks to the positive response I have ordered my copy and would like to invite all of you to join us.

The plan is to ‘meet’ back her one May 2, having read the first two sections of the book – Brothers and Sisters, Past and Present & Not Till the Bad Feelings Come Out.

Come prepared to share your impressions of these two sections. You might like to think about;

  • One idea, tip or story that really spoke to you or that you took away as a valuable insight
  • A question that you have in response to what you have read
  • A favourite passage from the book
  • A story of your own related to the themes of one (or both) of these sections.

If you are interested, please leave a comment below letting me know that you will be reading along. If you are on Facebook, you might also like to check that you are subscribed to Childhood 101 page notifications as I will be posting regular reminders to stay in touch as we read together.   14. My book arrived 🙂 I read the first two chapters last night – can’t wait to hear what everyone else thought of it.

  21. I’d love to be included in this study. This is one of the first parenting books I bought and it has been sitting on the shelf for years. Now that my children are 5 and 6, I am wishing I’d have read it sooner.
