We attend a great playgroup once a week and this was one of our recent creative projects – a cardboard flower with holes punched for threading a long length of wool through. I thought it was a great idea and immediately thought to make a more permanent version for Immy’s sewing basket.
So out came the plastic canvas again. I traced the flower and cut it out. Completely unnecessarily in terms of function, I decided to thread pink wool around the outer edge of the flower to make it a little more visually appealing. Then it was ready to sew.
A perfect project for keeping little fingers busy on a cold Winter’s afternoon in front of the fire watching a favourite program with treasured friends!
Or for any quiet time really!
