Family Photo Book Printable Planner & Checklist

How are you going with your family photo booking?

Get organized with your family photo books with these free printables - Checklist and Planner

As I shared earlier this year, getting into the habit of organising my photos to make a series of annual photo books for our family was high on my agenda. Unfortunately I seem to have fallen in a hole and haven’t been getting a lot done lately. And I think part of the problem (at least for me) is that I need to have something on paper to keep me on track – a list or planner of what needs to be done and what has been done. While I am still keeping a running record of anecdotes to include in our photo books in a Word document so that they are easy to copy and paste into the bookmaking software (you can read more about my process here), I still really need a tangible, visual prompt to keep my butt in gear. I am just like that!

So I have created a printable Family Photo Book Checklist that includes a list of 30 ideas for inclusions in an annual family photo book and a Family Photo Book Planner that is divided into months and which I intend to use to jot down those things that I want to remember for each month in our book – trips, outings, celebrations – that sort of thing. You are welcome to download and print a copy for your own use, if you think it might be useful.

To download and print: Click on either image below – the Checklist or Planner. This will open a three page PDF file. Download or save the PDF to your own computer. Open the PDF and print the pages you wish to use. When printing, select “Fit to printable area” (or similar) to ensure the page fits with your printer type and local paper size (these have been created at A4 size). Personal, non commercial use only.

Hi Christie, I LOVE your photo book checklist! Wish I had done something like that when my teens were younger. What I did do, however, has been very helpful. I put a bunch of empty sheet protectors in one 3 ring binder for each child. As the child brings home an award, certificate, report card, favorite piece of artwork, excellent piece of schoolwork, etc., I just slip it into the next page in the sheet protector. Things end up in (mostly) chronological order and they're easy to access. Using your idea, the binders could be a temporary storage/organization place until you can do the photo book. Just a thought. :-)
