Lots of elementary and primary age children enjoy the challenge of word searches, and they can help develop visual scanning abilities, visual discrimination and visual memory skills (check out our visual discrimination matching games for more help with these skills).

This Valentine’s Day word search includes 15 themed words, with words such as February, chocolate, love, hug and cupid.

Within the puzzle words may run across, down or diagonally, and may overlap. To make it extra tricky, a few words run backwards too. Children need to find and then circle or highlight each  word as they find it in the word search grid. A solution sheet is included in the printable word search document.
