Our little world: The beginning

Take three pots and a bag of potting soil…

Add some child friendly plants
…
(In this case, Alpine Pratia because it’s a soft and grassy like ground cover for our little world park, Orange Peel scented Thyme because it smells so lovely, and some potted colour.)

And the help of one strong and burly Daddy…

And water well…

Add stepping stones for little feet…

Then invite your friends to play…

They can run on the grass and play hide and seek…

And that is how you become the boss of your own little world!

We are having heaps of fun in our little world, watch out for more little adventures! And, why not make you own? If you do, email me some photos and I will share them here at Childhood 101.

How beautiful. Gardening is something I haven't done with my children (having moved so much)but I will have to do something like this in a pot!

Wonderful! I've been thinking of something like this since seeing Teacher Tom's little worlds, but I expect ours will have dinosaurs.

That is a lovely idea Christie. We're just about to create a vegie patch at our new house so maybe it can be my girl's little world. I remember doing something similar as a kid. We added little containers to be swimming holes for our little toys.

Christie, I love this idea. I know my little girl will so love being the master of her own fairy land!

    Thanks for the inspiration!

I can see that I'm going to have to get better at gardening! I've seen so many gorgeous ideas but have been daunted by my complete lack of ability, these look like they might be more in my league. I desperately want a herb garden!

What a great idea. My husband is an avid gardener, and the kids love to help, but I never thought of giving them their own plants that they can mess with to their hearts' content. They'd love that!
