I’ve got a confession to make.
I was really bad at memorising my multiplication tables at school. In fact, I’m still not really great with automatic recall of multiplication facts, even as an adult!
I just don’t have a head for numbers. As a result, I’m pretty committed to helping my kids master their times tables by giving them as many different tools as they need to get that fabulous auto recall happening. We play multiplication games, we sing times tables songs and now we’ve even added a little multiplication twist to reading time!
You see, my big girl loves reading but she doesn’t love reciting times tables so much so I thought that we would combine the two with a little multiplication bookmark that she can carry with her. This way she has whichever set of tables she is learning at her fingertips for a little, timely recall – cheeky, hey!
If you have a child learning their multiplication tables, you might like to print out a set of bookmarks via link below. There are three different styles to choose from. You might also want to check out our Multiplications Games Pack which is packed with cool, printable games that will help your child master their multiplication tables.
The bookmarks can be coloured in and include three different styles – 1×2=2, 2×1=2 and also each of these styles as a boxed version where the child needs to add the answer to the equation to. Alternatively, print directly onto coloured paper and you’re ready to revise.
To download and print: Click on the image below that shows how you say your times tables. This will open a PDF document. Download or save the PDF to your own computer. Open the PDF to print. When printing, select “Fit to printable area” (or similar) to ensure the page fits with your printer type and local paper size (these have been created at A4 size). For durability, print onto matte photo paper or lightweight cardstock and laminate once coloured. Personal, non commercial use only.
Now you can take your multiplication revision with you wherever you go!
