No Cook Chocolate Playdough Recipe
I think chocolate playdough might be my all time pick of the best homemade playdough. It smells amazing but it tastes like playdough so the kids won’t eat it….. well mostly!!! No Cook Chocolate Playdough Recipe
The secret to chocolate playdough is cocoa! You’ll also need regular ingredients for homemade playdough – flour, salt, oil and cream of tarter. The recipe below is an adaptation of the simplest never-fail playdough recipe that I have used for years as both a parent and a teacher.
Pretend Ice Cream Shop for Imaginary Play
Once your fresh batch of chocolate playdough is ready, it’s time to set up your pretend ice cream shop.
I placed the playdough into a plastic container and added an ice cream scoop.
Then I add some small, pretty paper cups to serve the ‘ice cream’ playdough in (these can be found in the party/baking supplies aisle of our local supermarket). I also added some small spoons and sequins to represent sprinkles to add to the ‘ice cream’.
If you want to add a few more flavors to your playdough ice cream shop, you just have to try our brightly colored lemon playdough recipe, this delicious pink playdough scented with herbal tea or a batch of green peppermint dough! In fact, we’ve collected together twelve of our best homemade playdough recipes, all of which would make a fabulous addition to your pretend play ice cream shop.
Our pretend play ice cream shop was a hit for inviting lots and lots of imaginative play!
