Sensory Play: Good, Clean Fun

Our little world continues to be a source of playful inspiration. Now that the weather is cooler, I love leaving our sliding door open, allowing Immy to wander in and out as she chooses, taking inside toys out under the pergola or bringing outdoor toys in.

Little world sees all manner of visitors, including our animal figurines (and a recent snail invasion, we have fun hunting out and picking off little snails each morning).

Sensory play: Cleaning Animals Bin
When playing this morning, we noticed that our animal figurines really could do with a bit of a wash.

ONE tub of soapy water + ONE cloth + ONE towel

= hours and hours of fun!

Immy didn’t just stop at the animals. The sandpit toys, home corner toys, outdoor furniture and blackboard all had a good clean. Can’t wait to start her on washing the dishes!

What have you been playing outdoors this week?

Yep, us too. Washing is a regular play activity. Sand pit toys, tea sets, playdough tools... if all else fails we just wash plastic spoons!

love it - it is good to leave the doors open - although most of summer one of our doors would be open while the a/c runs overtime!
Out kids have been washing their hot wheels cars a lot lately - yes hours of fun for the toddler who gets in after the older kids
