Did you know April 22nd is Earth Day? Earth Day provides the perfect opportunity to talk to our children about the natural environment and their place within it. The more children spend time outdoors, experiencing the natural environment and the balance of nature, the more likely it is that they will grow up to be a future custodian of the Earth.
To help you prepare for Earth Day as a family or class group, I have collated together over 50 nature inspired play and learning ideas across a range of learning areas – everything from literacy and mathematics to sensory and free play – there is literally something for everyone! Nature is a great teacher and I hope you have fun celebrating this marvellous and wondrous Earth that we occupy this Earth Day.
