April Special Days Calendar 2026
I developed this April Special Days Calendar for 2026 as a practical tool to support teachers to use special days such as cultural holidays and international days of awareness, to broaden their students’ worldview, promote global awareness and greater empathy for, and inclusion of, diverse perspectives.
By celebrating special days such as Earth Day, World Health Day or Pay It Forward Day, teachers can create engaging, meaningful learning opportunities that support academic growth, and the development of critical thinking and social emotional learning skills for students from preschool all the way through to high school.
